Vinyl Over Fiberglass 5ft Corner (2ft Radius) Vinyl Over Bench
All of our vinyl over corner step models can be used in new pool installations as well as retrofitted into older pools built with no step access.
The vinyl over corner steps have bead receiver on each tread as well as PVC receptors underneath each tread. This will allow for PVC pipe to assist in leveling and stabilizing the step. Each tread is reinforced with Amricore. Absolutely no flex in each tread and on retrofit installation no backfill is required.
For each model of corner step dealers can order a short 22”x 16” steel panel to go with each of the 3 different corner sizes. The short panel allows the dealer to completely bolt the steel kit together and pour a concrete collar around the perimeter of the pool; as well as under the corner step through the access under the short panel.
Existing older pool installation:
Remove the existing corner pool cement floor area according to the size of the new step. Level the area with new poured concrete or use pavers for the location of each PVC pipe. Once you have the step level on the PVC pipe apply multi purpose construction glue on each side flange of the step. Slide the step into place firmly holding it to the steel walls with wood ground stakes. If desired you can caulk both sides of the steel and fiberglass walls. No backfill possible nor required.
Note- each installation will require custom measurements before you order the liner.
Note- bead receiver can be used in each tread track or order a 5” flap for each step (no bead) and install the liner with the fluted rod supplied. Much easier to move/shift the liner during installation.
